Credits & billing
A credit ≈ one short agent turn. List price overage is $0.01 per credit on Solo, Team, and Business tiers (Enterprise negotiates lower). Each tier includes a monthly credit bundle:
- Solo — $399/mo, 40,000 credits included, overage at $0.01/credit, default spend cap $1,200/mo
- Team — $1,495/mo, 175,000 credits included, overage at $0.01/credit, default spend cap $3,000/mo
- Business — $4,995/mo, 700,000 credits included, overage at $0.01/credit, default spend cap $7,500/mo
- Enterprise — custom monthly + $0.0070/credit overage, negotiated spend cap (default $30,000/mo)
What a credit gets you

Monroe always shows a credit estimate before running anything that costs more than ~100 credits. You can cancel before it starts. You can also tell Monroe "be cheap" and it'll prefer fast models; or "be thorough" and it'll prefer Sonnet 4.5.
Top-up packs (one-time)
When you need more credits than your tier includes in a month and don't want to wait for next month:
- 2,500 credits — $25 ($0.0100/credit)
- 11,000 credits — $100 ($0.0091/credit)
- 60,000 credits — $500 ($0.0083/credit)
- 260,000 credits — $2,000 ($0.0077/credit)

The spend cap
Each tier ships with a default monthly spend cap — Monroe pauses and posts in-channel when usage hits 100%:
Out of budget for the month. Raise the cap from the dashboard to continue, or wait until [renewal date].
Two layers of enforcement:
1. Soft alerts at 50%, 75%, 90% so you see it coming
2. Hard stop at 100% — enforced at the LLM provider layer via the OpenRouter sub-key limit. Even a buggy agent loop can't bypass it.
Default caps by tier: Solo $1,200/mo, Team $3,000/mo, Business $7,500/mo, Enterprise $30,000/mo. Adjustable in dashboard → Billing.
